Rick Thornberry is the CEO of Radian (NYSE: RDN), one of the largest private mortgage insurers of U.S. residential mortgages.
Rick has more than 30 years of financial services experience, leading some of the most innovative businesses in the mortgage industry along the way. Before joining Radian, he co-founded NexSpring Group LLC, advising private equity firms exploring financial services-related M&A transactions. Rick was also co-founder of NexSpring Financial LLC, a fintech business focused on improving the overall value proposition for all participants in a residential mortgage origination transaction. He served as the chairman and CEO of both companies until February 2017.
Prior to founding NexSpring, Rick teamed up with KKR, a global investment firm, to co-found and launch Nexstar Financial Corporation, a leading mortgage business process outsourcing firm. Under his leadership, Nexstar was recognized as one of the nation’s fastest-growing companies and was acquired by MBNA.
Before his time with Nexstar, Rick was the president and COO of Citicorp Mortgage Inc. He also held executive-level financial and operating positions at Residential Services Corporation of America/Prudential Home Mortgage Company, including the title of CFO, until the company was sold in 1996. Rick began his career as a certified public accountant at Deloitte, where he primarily worked with financial services clients and entrepreneurial businesses.
Rick holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a major in Accounting from St. Louis University.
As the senior executive vice president, chief digital officer, and co-head of real estate at Radian, Eric oversees the vision, strategy, and leadership of Radian’s IT and security functions. He’s also responsible for co-managing the company’s real estate business.
Eric has more than 30 years of experience in the technology sector. Prior to joining Radian, he held the role of General Manager, Global Technology Services at IBM Corporation, where he was responsible for IBM North America's technology consulting business, project-based services, and enterprise-wide technology offerings.
Eric received his bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University and his MBA from the University of Detroit.
As the senior executive vice president, chief franchise officer, and co-head of real estate, Brien McMahon is responsible for leading Radian's enterprise sales team and co-managing the company’s real estate business.
Brien has more than 25 years of experience in the financial services industry. He formerly held the position of executive vice president for Realogy Franchise Group. At Realogy, Brien directed sales, training, and administration for multiple premier real estate brands — including Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate, Century 21, Coldwell Banker, Coldwell Banker Commercial, ERA, and Sotheby’s International Realty. Prior to Realogy, he served 14 years with PHH Mortgage in a variety of roles, including senior vice president of national sales.
Brien received his B.A. from the University of Connecticut. He is also a member of the board for Lordship Beach Organization.
